Training
Background
I have been
training since late June 2003 at the Voice
Factory in
San
Francisco with Taylor Korobow. If you’re
in the Bay Area in this business, you should know who this fine teacher
is, and if not, I recommend that you visit her site to find out. She has
done wonders for helping me evolve into a better (and skilled!) animal
behind the mic. As of fall 2003 I’ve progressed to master’s level courses
with professionals who’ve returned to Taylor for a creative “kick in the
pants.”
Above all, the
Voice Factory has taught me to take risks with my performances. I am not
afraid to try something appropriate, and different. I am very flexible
with accents and can even handle some regional dialects.

My natural
voice tends toward sweet/young. I am African-American/Filipina but my
voice has no particular “ethnic sound” and with my voice I can be an ”ethnic chameleon.”
On-Camera
Work
While
my existing training is in voiceover, I am certainly interested
in on-camera work. I intend to take some on-camera/acting
courses later in 2004 around the Bay Area.
VO
Projects
While
I am eager to do commercial work, I am also particularly
interested in video game and animation VO work; I’m an avid
video game player and live in the heart of Silicon Valley (Santa Clara) close to many electronic gaming
producers. If you are a video game developer in search of
a female character voice for role-playing games and similar
entertainment media, I am definitely interested in hearing
from you.
I am also very into animation
and in particular, Japanese (or Japanese-inspired) anime.
If you are developing an animation project and seeking voiceactors
for your project, I am also eager to hear from you.
